Gustant Statim
Our ethos, translating to “once they taste” or “they taste instantly,” it’s all about allowing you to savour the moments spent at our table.
Pat & Betty is a European inspired dinette & bar which takes it’s cues from family legacy and Canadian influence. A place to celebrate simply being together, with unapologetically indulgent food, vivid wines and big-hearted service.
Inspired by the women who raised us
Pat & Betty embodies the passion and affection of our mothers.
Pat was born in Mission, British Columbia in the 60’s. Pat’s mom, Elaine, was an Acadian stay-at-home mom and they spent many cherished years together, especially in the kitchen; from preparing a variety of canning each season to many memorable family meals through the holidays and in celebration of all that mattered most, family.
Working through her career in the grocery business, just like her father, Delmar. Pat had the opportunity to be surrounded by many new & fascinating ingredients. A lover of comfort food, baking and the dishes of her mom – that generational experience was shared with her children, Michael & Kathleen, as they grew up.

Betty was born in Bath, England in the 60’s. Betty’s passion for cooking started at an early age with her grandmother, Blanche, watching her cook & helping in the kitchen, especially tasting. As the eldest child, Betty would cook for her family and siblings through her teens in England. With a passion for food & hospitality, Betty went on to gain a Bachelor of Arts in hotel & catering management.
Through her career, Betty had many exciting opportunities and achievements but most memorably, organizing and hosting the 1988 Olympic Committee, representing the city she now called home, Calgary. A loving mother and avid home-cook, Betty would cook and share her love of food with her children, James & Rebecca.
